The NDIA has released the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Decision Paper on Pricing and Payments. This follows the Agency’s publication of draft pricing in its SDA Position Paper on 1 April and an extensive period of public consultations, submissions and feedback. Thank you to those who contributed.

The paper sets out the benchmark pricing and payments approach for funding of the land and built elements of SDA under the Scheme, and is consistent with the Specialist Disability Accommodation Pricing and Payments Framework that was endorsed by the Disability Reform Council in November 2015.
This paper is focussed on pricing and the associated arrangements. Further information for participants and about the operationalisation of SDA in 2016/17 will follow shortly.

The release of the paper is an important step in the development of a market that meets the SDA needs of NDIS participants. The NDIS approach encourages models of SDA that enable opportunities for participants to develop greater levels of independence and social and economic participation.

The paper is available here on the NDIS website.
