Everything is possible is the theme of the QCOSS State Conference 2016.
The conference will be held over two days, the first being traditional conference style and the second a series of masterclasses.
Day one will open with international keynote speaker Dr Michael McAfee of PolicyLink in the United States, followed by plenary sessions on citizen-driven policy and practice; and communities shaping their own future with local governance and sustainable solutions.
Concurrent sessions will incorporate local responses to global issues; building financial resilience; partners for change; outcome management system; and housing and homelessness.
Day two will offer a selection of masterclasses. Choose either branding for nonprofits with Juanita Wheeler of Full & Frank; the cost of living challenge; or family and community wellbeing with Michael McAfee and other presenters.
This annual event brings together community CEOs, managers and senior staff from community service organisations throughout Queensland to explore different aspects of the sector and what we all can be doing to work towards the elimination of poverty and disadvantage in Queensland.
