Union update: Equal Pay Case
Thursday 8 December is set to be the final hearing date in the national Equal Pay Case. The Queensland Government has written to Fair Work Australia to indicate it does not object to the union’s Joint Submission with the Federal Government in the case. The Joint Submission demonstrates that the Queensland Pay Equity wages rates are the best method for delivering Equal Pay for SACS workers all over Australia. In contrast to the Queensland Government’s position, there is still opposition from the LNP Governments in Victoria and NSW.
