Registration 2010: 'Shape of Housing Assistance in Queensland'

Final days for 'Shape of Housing Assistance in Queensland'

Spaces are still available for the Roma Forum

Thursday 28th October, 2010. Roma Forum at Roma Neighbourhood Centre; Community Room, Cnr Quintin and Bowen Streets Roma.

Queensland Shelter’s ‘Shape of Housing Assistance in Queensland’ state-wide forums are intended to look at the affordable housing sector as a whole, its intersection with the homelessness sector and the One Social Housing System.  The aim of this project is to create a vision of what Queensland’s housing assistance sector should look to achieve the best housing outcomes for people who need assistance and the policy development and changes which would be necessary to achieve these outcomes.

Areas that will be investigated include the scale and size of providers; title issues and portfolio management; rent setting policies; regulations; funding arrangements and organisational viability to what mechanisms are required to accommodate vulnerable people in affordable housing.

We encourage organisations and individuals who are involved in the affordable housing and the homelessness sectors to attend and participate at the forums.  This is a free event.  Morning tea will be provided.

If you register and are then unable to attend, please ensure you inform us immediately so we are able to adjust catering arrangements.
