Queensland Shelter – Who We Are
Queensland Shelter is a Community Based Peak Organisation which promotes improved access to housing for all Queenslanders.
- Our constitution drawing on the International Convention on Economic Social and Cultural Rights identifies housing as a human right.
- Queensland Shelter has a number of Branches across the state. Our Management Committee is drawn from Branch Membership.
- Queensland Shelter is affiliated with National Shelter , a national peak for groups from around Australia.
- Queensland Shelter represents a range of housing issues to government and industry, including; affordable housing, homelessness, caravan park closures, community and social housing and improved access to the private rental market.
