Courier Mail, June 16 2011: Wait for public housing grows longer

A MULTIMILLION-dollar boost to Queensland's public housing stock will fail to match growing numbers of people languishing on waiting lists.

The State Government has vowed to build an extra 1500 houses by next June, but Queensland's waiting list is predicted to climb nearly 3700 in the same period.
