Under One Roof Synthesis Series
Change, challenges, reforms and results in the reduction of rough sleeping.Invitation to the Synthesis SeriesYou are welcome to attend a series of reflective afternoon teas hosted byUnder 1 Roof to explore questions and conundrums embedded withinpolicies, practices and service delivery aimed at ending homelessness. The topics are drawn from U1R’s own recent work to pilotMulti-agency case coordination. These discussions will debate importantand sometimes complex issues that characterise responses tohomelessness. The theme of synthesis highlights the challenge oftransforming seemingly competing issues into deeper and more effectivepractice with a focus on ending homelessness.When and what:Thursday 30 September 2.45 for 3.00pm-4.00pmPrivacy and Coordination: a synthesis.How can we develop practice that achieves the highest standards of respect for clients’privacy while working in a coordinated and integrated way?Thursday 28 October 2.45 for 3.00pm-4.00pmAssertive outreach and support versus self-determination:confronting the practice of doing nothing.Many practitioners are well versed in notions about self determination however what doesthis mean in the context of entrenched rough sleeping and serious mental illness?
