Stronger Tenancies: A New and Emerging Communities Tenancy Advice, Information, and Education Research Project

Stronger tenancies:A research project to document effective practices and models in providing tenancy information, advocacy and advice to

new and emerging communities.

Workshop Invitation About the project This project emerges from concerns that culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) people and particularly new and emerging communities, experience challenges and barriers to knowing and advocating their rights and responsibilities as tenants. This project has undertaken an extensive literature search to identify leading national and international practice in relation to tenancy advice, information and advocacy for CALD communities with a particular focus on new and emerging communities. About this workshop This workshop will develop and refine policy and practice guidelines relating to advice, advocacy, education and information to CALD communities about their rights and responsibilities as tenants. One week before the workshop you will be provided with materials including the draft literature review, an executive summary and recommendations.  It would be helpful if you could read these materials before you come to the workshop. If you can’t make it to the workshop, then please make contact with the project workers to offer your views and ideas. When and Where Tuesday 19th May9.00am-1.00pmAt Ethnic Communities Council Qld253 Boundary St West End, QLDLunch provided. Contact and RSVP
