The Senior’s Housing Network continues to steer the Senior’s Share Housing project, which is designed to match seniors with complementary needs in both resident owned and head leased properties, towards stage two and implementation. Read more »
One of the initial features of the program will be a course of six week training and education sessions held at a seniors or community centre that will provide prospective sharers to select co-residents. Participants will be able to pre-screen potential conflicts and liaise with a case manager who will oversee tenancies and offer assistance when requested.

The Seniors Housing Branch have retained former Qld Shelter Branches worker and housing maven Deirdre Coughlan to steward their seniors share housing project which will assist seniors to:
· Source and share housing amongst peers
· Remain in the community

The newly formed Queensland Shelter Senior’s Housing Branch, comprised of members of the Older Person’s Speak Out network (OPSO) and cooperating agencies, have appointed Tracey Douglas as Branch Delegate. Read more »
The Branch brings with it a wealth of expertise in advocacy, policy development, media campaigning, educational program development and delivery, and lobbying.
