Gold Coast Homelessness Network

Branch History

The Gold Coast Homelessness Network first met in 1993 as the Gold Coast and Hinterland Housing Network (GCHHN). The Network sought to respond to the lack of crisis accommodation and affordable housing and was initially driven by the Housing Resource Service (HRS) with assistance from emergency housing workers and, in part, the Commonwealth State Housing Agreement consultation project. Gold Coast Region Homelessness Symposium

 

I am pleased to invite you to attend the sixth Gold Coast region Homelessness Symposium, hosted by the Regional Managers’ Coordination Network (RMCN) Subcommittee on Homelessness. 

Symposium details: 

Date: Wednesday 3rd November 2010

Time: 8:30am to 4:00pm (morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea provided)

Venue: Robina Community Centre

Address: 196 Robina Town Centre Drive, Robina

Parking: Top level of David Jones car park (there is limited parking at the community centre)

The Symposium aims to:

  • provide an overview of the National and Queensland Homelessness agendas  and elements of the Gold Coast homelessness service system; and
  • identify opportunities for changes to the approach to homelessness in the Gold Coast region

Big Issue Street Soccer Gold Coast

The Gold Coast program is attracting lots of attention, but we would love to have more players attending training - Tuesday (today) at Pratten Park Broadbeach from 3-5pm. Everyone is welcome!
